FAN-tastic

This fan looks great and functions great. At first glance - looking at the pieces in the box, the installation looks like it may be difficult but if you take it one step at a time it won't take long and looks great. We needed to use the short bar install so just as an FYI: (I missed this when reading the instructions) make sure to not include the top cover of the fan and only include the fan connection to the ceiling cover. They do this to give you room to get a screwdriver in there, otherwise you'll have to re-do it like I did.This thing pushes a lot of air, has 3 levels of strength, has a dimming light and is super quiet. It also allows you to reverse the flow during the winter to get more heat circulating through the room.

My criteria for evaluating fans was:1) doesn't wobble - check2) looks good - check3) has a remote and all included components to install with the remote - check4) has some different ceiling length options - check5) is quiet - check6) moves a lot of air - check7) doesn't use a lot of power in "low" - check.So, 5/5. No problems with this guy at all.

Had to Repair it Out of the Box

I installed the fan and light kit and the light stopped working. Long story short, after checking all wiring connections, I had to 're- solder the light socket wires. I removed the remote transmitter and bought a 12 dollar fan control at home depot. That remote receiver is worthless and prone to interference. Overall, it is better than any two hundred dollar fan from a box store.
