The fan arrive in great shape, assembled well and is quiet; BUT the wiring instructions were written by a two year old. There was no wiring diagram, it was written out. I was to have the fan and light controlled separately by their own switch. The instructions used words like "the wire coming out of the ceiling connects" and "the wires from the switch connect". Well when you have two sets of wire coming out of the ceiling which is which. They had two different sets of instructions for single and dual switches but it made no difference in clarity. I ended up doing a trial and error method before getting the right combination. OH, and it was not just wires going to the fan and light, there was another component, a "watt saver", that was wired between those connections to complicate it even more. I have wired over 15 ceiling fans and this was the absolute worst wiring instructions ever. I got Hunter for its supposed quality, but I now question that. If you can't get wiring instructions write how bad are the guts of this fan. Hunter, if you keep this crap up your market share is going to slip a lot more.

Bought this fan for son's bedroom. Have 4 other Hunter fans so purchased this one with confidence. Installed fan, this is by far the cheapest looking fan. Was very disappointed in design and quality.1. Fan blade mount screws are countersunk screws so they do not screw down flush on top of blade and are plainly visible on fan.2. Where the fan blades attach to motor housing the screws are exposed, you usually can't see these on a quality fan.3. Ceiling mount isolators are too large, so canopy ring does not ride flush to ceiling leaving a large gap and mount can be seen from door way. Very poor design.4. Blade uses rubber bushings so blade mounts do not sit flush. Large gap between blade and blade mount, very cheap design.5. Light kit was too long for this fan, looks out of place.6. Bought from external vendor on Amazon, be careful when do this as they have different return policies, so I am stuck with this fan.7. Even called Hunter, to let them know to take their name off this fan. This fan is a garage fan or work break room fan not a bedroom fan.I don't usually review too many items but this is so bad I had to warn others, choose a different fan please.
