Pros:Still in the installation process.Packaging - very niceLooks good so farService was very helpful and knowledgeableThe globe fits against the mount which should help keep bugs out.Cons:No parts listFan switch bad, pull chain missing from switch I have to call Hunter for replacement part. That will take another 5-7 days.Long wait for service connection. (15-20 minutes)Mounting the blades is easy but the screws don't tighten the blade to the mount, the blade remains loose in the grommet. This might be as designed but it is not identified that the blades are loose in the grommets.GeneralMight be a good idea to download the model manual before starting.

Originally I'd purchased the Harbor Breeze Pacific Grove fan for my covered porch. It was beautiful, and it was SUPER easy to install. Unfortunately, it wasn't a flush-mount and hung low enough to decapitate someone. Had to box it up and take it back. I picked this one because, while I didn't think it was as pretty, it was still elegant. The installation, though, was a NIGHTMARE, and it was all due to the fancy shroud that covers up the wiring. I struggled to hang that thing for half an hour until I realized that the bracket it mounts to was bent out of square. A few adjustments with pliers later, and the rest of the installation went without incident. It really is a beautiful fan. Is it rated for outdoor use? Eh, I don't know, and I don't care. I wish the light had a 3-way setting, though, but there's no way I'm opening that shroud back up to install a remote dimmer. It creates a nice breeze, and the serenity setting is great for when you don't want too much wind. And there's not one hint of a wobble, even at the highest setting.Let's hope that Hunter lives up to the hype of its quality, because I don't want to have to install another one of these for a LOOOOOOONG time....

I am fairly handy and have installed at least 4 fans over my life time... Sooo I do have some skills with this and other projects (e.g. electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc. Having said that -- You need at least 4 hands to mount the cover/shroud that hides the wiring... The screws that are used to mount the cover are very small and the hole alignment did not exactly match the screw holes on the plate it was to be mounted to... .. the screws because of their small size kept falling off inside the shroud lip as well, at least 45 minutes to finally get the shroud on and only after putting one of the screws in at an angle. Would suggest you buy a stuffed animal to kick before you start installing the shroud.. the rest of the installation went well and fan and light seems to working ok..
