Royal Pacific 10790B Contempo Fan Review

I purchased two of these fans as replacements for older fans. Both fans had the same questionable workmanship. Each fan required redrilling of holes to make a part line up with the motor housing. Next, each fan came with screws that were too long and required to be snipped in order not to block the blades when the fan is running. Also, if you want to attach the fan to a longer down rod, it requires a 1/2" diameter rod. Home Depot or Lowes in my area only carry 3/4' down rods. I had to find a specialty fan store who carried this smaller diameter rod. Next, one of the glass lamp shades had a small chip. Finally, the fan motors are louder than other fans in my house. Luckily, I had a handyman who was able to overcome the problems and install the fans in a total of six hours. Now that they are up and working, they look nice.

An awesome ceiling fan with light and a remote !! A little difficult to install but "do able". the different speeds are great.
