Just what I needed

I shopped all over to find what I needed in my new house and knew that Minka was what I wanted. Amazon was the quickest delivery and by far the best price.

It will work.,,

I love the look of the fan in my son's room. It is very sleek. The ease of the remote for the light and speed adjustment us convenient and easy to use. However, my husband (who is very handy) had a really hard time with the instalation. It literally took him several hours of frustration to get it installed and working. He also told me that the installation design has made it so the fan will never be completely level. I can't tell to look at it, but this could cause problems later. Now that it's installed, the only thing that I think that would make it better would if the I was able to dim or brighten the light. Right now it's just on or off, no adjusting. Like I said in the title, it will work.

We installed this in our bedroom and it looks and functions beautifully. It is very quiet compared to the ancient one it replaced, and we love the remote. The only thing we didn't like was that it didn't come with a longer drop bar (I think the longer one included was only 6"). We have high ceilings, so a longer one would have been preferred, but we couldn't find one in a suitable color nearby. Despite that, it's still a great fan for the price and I would definitely purchase again.UPDATE 6/13/2012 - We loved this so much that we bought another one in the same color (brushed steel) for our living room, and we got the 12" down rod this time. It works just as well, but needed a shim since it hung lower. Even so, it is still quiet and cools our room down perfectly. Great product, I highly recommend.
