Nice little fan but not easy to install

My husband has installed many ceiling fans over the years and we liked this little one for one of our tiny bedrooms. It was not the easiest thing to install, in fact putting the blades up was painful. You have to thread them up through a tiny hole with a screwdriver and my husband was on his last nerve by the end of this. The instructions that come with it are basic (are instructions for every fan they make) and just beware because it's a 60 watt clear candelabra bulb that comes with it. It's enough to light up the room but other than that you better have additional lighting available. It's also a little loud so I'm hoping that if I leave it running long enough that will work itself out. Put it this way, it's up now and I'm not taking it down but wished I would have got the Westinghouse 3 blade fan.

pretty but loud and smelly

we installed this in the future nursery and we'll likely have to replace it. it looks great, just what we wanted, just terrible in most functional ways.first, the instructions that came with it were for a ceiling fan, but not this one. in fact this was barely similar to the one in the instructions, not helpful at all.second, it's LOUD. we noticed it immediately and months later it hasn't gotten any better. we tried balancing it, pushing on the light fixture, nothing helped, it's just really loud. the noise seems to come from the motor and the light fixture, still haven't been able to fix it.third, it smells bad, like a scary potential death trap smell. after it's been running for an hour, even on the slowest setting, light on or off, it starts to smell something almost like burning, and a strong chemical/plastic/processed smell. It's pretty strong, filled the room and now wafts throughout the house. we're leaving it running to see if it clears out, but watching it closely to see if it bursts into flames.definitely NOT good for a baby room.

Awesome little fan ...

Bought on Amazon for $55.Okay I read several comments that either 1) disparaged the quality of this product or, 2) proclaimed a monumental assembly headache. I'll challenge them both.Looked at dozens of fans at the big box prior to buying this one and while I can definitely say this is not a high end fan, I'll say it's of equal or better quality than any I saw for under $100.I've installed many fans before and while this one was different than others it was no more challenging to assemble. 20 minutes, without reading the instructions. No weights needed ... NONE.A great $55 fan. And it looks awesome in my 10 x 10 bedroom. Five stars.
